2006 Monthly Health and Dental Employee Premiums (PDF PDF)

Plan A (Blue Cross PPO Plan)

Plan A (Blue Cross PPO) monthly premium contributions vary with University earnings, with smaller gradations in 2006 than used in prior years. In implementing a recommendation of the General Faculty Committee (GFC) and the Staff Advisory Council (NUSAC), a closer relationship between premium contributions and earnings is seen in the twenty earnings brackets in 2006 in comparison with the five brackets of earlier years. As these brackets are phased in over the next few years, some premium contributions will increase somewhat less than
the average, and others will increase somewhat more than the average. The result will be a more equitable cost of health care in relation to each individual’s earnings.
