Claims for 2008 services. Participants in any of the FSA plans should send reimbursement claims to PayFlex replacing the Benefits Division as claims administrator.

*Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)

The FSA Accounts are pre-tax savings accounts designed to save you taxes when you pay for certain eligible expenses that are not covered by other benefit plans. With these accounts, you can be reimbursed for expenses with money set aside from your earnings--money that is not subject to federal income or Social Security taxes. This can mean a substantial tax advantage for you. You may make Contributions to:

New faculty and staff may enroll in a FSA online using HRIS Self Service. Enrollment must occur no later than 31 days from the date of hire. The annual pledge amount may not be changed unless an individual has an IRS qualifing change in family or employment status and completed the paper enrollment process within 31 days of the qualifying event. Individual must enroll online during Open Enrollment to continue FSA participation for the next year.

Claim forms for 2008 services may be obtained from PayFlex.

Claims for services incurred during a calendar year must be received by the end of February of the next calendar year. Otherwise, account balances are forfeited.
