Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment for calendar year 2008 ended at 5 pm on Thursday November 9, 2007.

Open Enrollment is the one time each year when the University announces benefit plan changes and monthly premium contribution rates for the next calendar year. It is also the period to enroll or re-enroll in the Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Health Care and or Dependent Care Accounts for participation in either or both plans for the next calendar year. And it is the period when benefits-eligible faculty and staff may make changes to specific benefit plan selections.

Open Enrollment for 2009 is tentatively scheduled to occur from mid-October through mid-November, 2007. Watch this site and for issues of the Observer mailed to benefits eligible faculty and staff beginning in early October 2008.

Please be aware that decisions made during Open Enrollment are generally binding for the entire year. An individual may not make any changes until next year's Open Enrollment period unless he or she has an approved change in family or employment status (e.g., marriage, birth, adoption, et cetera) notifies the Benefits Division of such a change and completes the online enrollment process within 31 days from the date of the qualifying event.
