Flexible Work Schedule To give employees better control over their time, Northwestern makes alternative work arrangements possible
on a case-by-case basis, according to the needs and approval of an employee's department. These arrangements
might include flexible schedules, job sharing, telecommuting, paid time off, and unpaid leave of absence. For

Personal Support The Faculty and Staff Assistance Program provides faculty,
staff and member of their families confidential and professional support for working through personal challenges
that can upset the work and live balance. These personal challenges might include time management difficulties,
emotional problems, family issues, financial and legal troubles, stress management and substance abuse. Evaluations,
counseling and referral services are provided at no charge from a third party vendor, Perspective
