Take Our Children to Work Day: Thursday April 26, 2018

Organized by the Office of Human Resources, the annual Take Our Children to Work Day is a FREE event open to family and friends, aged 8-16, of Northwestern faculty and staff members. This educational program is intended to introduce children to a variety of workplace roles and to help them envision their professional goals. This event was founded by the Ms. Foundation for Women and was later formed into the Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Foundation.

This year’s theme is "Service Force, Agents of Positive Change”, highlighting the essential workplace value of teamwork. Being a part of a workplace team means you are there to support your community. Agents of positive change work hard and take advantage of presented opportunities to ensure that the future is brighter for everyone.

Children will take part in three workshops built around a STEM curriculum, combining math and science with fun taught by Northwestern faculty, staff, students, or volunteers. We encourage parents to take their child(ren) to lunch following the day’s activities as it’s a great opportunity to hear about their experience of the event at one of the many unique local eateries.

Opens at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2018.
