2251 Sheridan is the G.R.E.E.N. House for the 2008-09 year.

GREEN House (Group Residence for Environmental Engagement at Northwestern) is an environmentally-themed living community whose mission is to inspire future leaders to act in ways that will protect and sustain our planet. Because we believe that change occurs when people with different skill sets and different experiences come together over concern for the same issue, GREEN is open to students of all backgrounds, majors, and academic interests who are interested in living sustainably and being actively engaged with the world around them and the impact that their actions have upon it.

2251 Sheridan Road houses 48 men and women  in single and double occupancy rooms. Men and women live on separate floors. Features of the building include:

  • main lounge
  • TV Lounge 
  • study area
  • carpeted halls and rooms
 
Furnishings in double-occupancy rooms include:
  • 2 desks with built-in bookshelf and light
  • 2 desk chairs
  • 2  twin beds (80" long)
  • 2 built-in closets or 2 wardrobes
