Foreign Language Assistance

The Health Service makes every effort to communicate with patients in a language in which the patient is comfortable. In the event that a patient is not conversant in English, the Health Service has arrangements with the Language Line Personal Interpreter Service for the provision of foreign language interpretation services. Language Line is a telephone interpreter service that allows the patient and the healthcare provider to communicate with the help of an interpreter via use of a speaker telephone in the privacy of an examination room.

If you are a patient that is interested in making use of this service, please advise the Health Service staff when you register for your appointment of the specific language you would like interpreted. There is no cost to the patient for this service.
