House Directors serve as live in advisors to the chapters. They are hired and employed by the individual chapters and house corporation boards. Generally, their specific responsibilities include planning menus, ordering food and chapter supplies, and supervising the kitchen staff, just to name a few. The role of a house director does not end there though. Whether it is working with a chapter committee, counseling an individual member, assisting with chapter activities, or mediating a conflict, they serve an integral part of the chapter living environment.
