Karen Pryor, Assistant Director for Fraternity and Sorority Life

Originally hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area, Karen received her undergraduate degree in Literature and Economics from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington. During her college years she was extremely involved with her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta, as well as the Panhellenic Council. She went on to earn her Master of Education degree in Student Affairs and Higher Education at the University of Maryland, College Park, where she served as the Interfraternity Council Advisor and a live-in chapter advisor to the men of Tau Kappa Epsilon. She most recently worked at the University of New Mexico in the Office of Student Activities before making the move to Northwestern. In her free time, she enjoys traveling,reading, painting, and cultivating an impressive $5 DVD collection from Target. Her responsibilities include:

Hallie Moberg Brauer, Program Assistant for Fraternity and Sorority Life

Hallie joined the OFSL team at Northwestern in March of 2013. She received her BA from DePauw University in French and Conflict Studies where she was also an active member of Alpha Chi Omega.  Between finishing her BA and joining the team at NU, Hallie spent a year living and teaching English just south of Strasbourg in France.  After moving to Chicago, she began serving on the advisory board for Alpha Chi Omega specifically in the area of Risk Management and hopes to pursue her M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration with a focus on International and Comparative Education.  In her free time, Hallie enjoys traveling, being outside, cooking, and playing with her cats.

The program assistant's responsibilites include:

  • Schedules all appointments for OFSL staff
  • Serves as the primary contact for all OFSL related questions
  • Maintains chapter rosters and contact information for advisors and house directors
  • Prepares grade reports
  • Purchases supplies and processes reimbursements for OFSL office and related chapter or council events
  • Coordinates Greek Leadership Retreat logistics
  • Coordinates Greek Awards logistics
  • Other duties as assigned

Casey Talbot, Graduate Assistant

Casey is a full-time student in the Higher Education Administration and Policy Master's Program in SESP at Northwestern. She graduated from New York University in 2012 with a Bachelor’s in English and American Literature. While at NYU, Casey joined the local chapter of Pi Beta Phi and served the chapter and the Greek community in various leadership roles and committees. She continues to volunteer for Pi Phi and is also serving as the House Director for Phi Delta Theta. Casey spends far too much of her free time watching Netflix and wishing she were living in England, and also enjoys taking long walks with her corgi. Her responsibilities include:
