About UsThe Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life is committed to providing students with a living and learning experience that facilitates growth in the areas of scholarship, personal and leadership development, campus and community involvement, and the clarification of values. The office and staff serve as liaisons between the collegiate chapters, parents, alumni, (Inter)National organizations, and Northwestern University. The goal is to provide educational programs, services, and resources towards holistic growth; and to support the ideals of fraternity by challenging members to live by their organization's purpose.

The staff within the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life is currently in the process of updating the strategic plan to meet the needs of the current student body and identifying new initiatives to further create the premiere collegiate experience at Northwestern. A new and updated version of the strategic plan will be available in the near future.
In the meantime, please take some time to read through our previous strategic plan and former initiatives to see how far we have come as a community.
In December 2004, the Vice President for Student Affairs established a task force to examine contemporary fraternity and sorority life at Northwestern. The task force-composed of students, alumni, faculty, staff and an officer of an international fraternal organization-met for a year and conducted a thorough program review.
The charge of the Northwestern Task Force was to conduct a thorough review of the undergraduate fraternity and sorority experience-not individual chapters-at Northwestern University and to recommend a direction for fraternity and sorority life for the next 5 to 10 years.
Please see Vision 20/20(pdf) for a complete list of findings, recommendations and a new strategic plan.
