Recruitment and Intake Information
Fraternities
and sororities conduct recruitment and intake events, activities, and informational
sessions at various times during the year. The recruitment process is either
council or chapter coordinated, depending on which organization you are interested
in joining. However, no freshman may pledge until Winter
Quarter 2008, or enter a fraternity or sorority house during the first three weeks of the academic year. Transfer, sophomore, junior, or senior students may join a fraternal organization during Fall Quarter 2007. Interfraternity Council
During Fall Quarter, IFC chapters host Sunday Night Dinners in their fraternity houses which serve to introduce new students to fraternity life. Look for adverstising around campus for these events.
Formal IFC Recruitment is January 8-12. During this week, IFC chapters host dinners followed by activities at the chapter house where interested students can meet the chapter members and learn more about fraternity life. During this week, interested students will be offered membership invitations.

Multicultural Greek Council
During Fall Quarter, many MGC chapters hold informational sessions for interested students to learn more about the purpose of their organizations. Look for advertising around campus for these events.
During Winter and Spring Quarter, MGC chapters will hold rush or recruitment events for interested students to learn more about their chapters and the process of joining.
National Pan-Hellenic Council
During Fall Quarter, many NPHC chapters hold informational sessions for interested students to learn more about the purpose of their organizations. Look for advertising around campus for these events.
During Winter and Spring Quarters, NPHC chapters will begin the intake process where interested members become a part of NPHC.
Panhellenic Association
Several Panhellenic chapters will be recruiting tranfer and sophomore, junior, or senior students during the fall quarter. If you are interested, please email panhelrecruitment@gmail.com.
Panhellenic Formal Recruitment is January 10-15, 2008. During formal recruitment all interested students will visit and meet women from our 12 Panhellenic sororities. The process is based on mutual selection where the interested students choose which chapters they are interested in joining while the Panhellenic chapters follow the same process.
