In December 2004, the Vice President for Student Affairs established a task force to examine contemporary fraternity and sorority life at Northwestern. The task force-composed of students, alumni, faculty, staff and an officer of an international fraternal organization-met for a year and conducted a thorough program review.

The charge of the Northwestern Task Force was to conduct a thorough review of the undergraduate fraternity and sorority experience-not individual chapters-at Northwestern University and to recommend a direction for fraternity and sorority life for the next 5 to 10 years.

*The staff within the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life is currently in the process of updating the strategic plan to meet the needs of the current student body and identifying new initiatives to further create the premiere collegiate experience at Northwestern.
