Sarah Fodor, Executive Director
Foundation Relations and Corporate Engagement

Sarah joined Northwestern's Office of Foundation Relations (OFR) in 1998. She holds a PhD in English Language and Literature and MST in English from the University of Chicago and BAs in English Education and French Literature from the University of Illinois (Urbana). Sarah manages top University prospects and initiatives and serves as liaison to NU-Qatar and The Graduate School.

Susan Fisher Miller, Senior Associate Director

Susan joined Northwestern’s Office of Foundation Relations in 2006. She earned a PhD in English from Northwestern University and BAs in English and French from Goshen College. Susan serves as liaison to African Studies, Bienen, the Block Museum, Feinberg, the University Library, and Weinberg Humanities, and assists faculty nominees in limited submission foundation programs.

Susan Dauber, Senior Associate Director

Susan joined Northwestern's Office of Foundation Relations in 2013 after spending 13 years as a program officer at the Spencer Foundation. She earned her PhD in Sociology from the Johns Hopkins University, where she also received a BA in Psychology. Susan serves as liaison to BCICS, Communication, IPR, Kellogg, SPS, SESP, Student Life and Scholarships, and Weinberg Social Sciences.

Heidi Jurgens, Senior Associate Director

Heidi joined Northwestern’s Office of Foundation Relations in 2017. She earned her PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Chicago. Before joining Northwestern, she held the position of associate director of medical and scientific relations at the Alzheimer’s Association. Heidi serves as liaison to McCormick, ISEN and Weinberg Life and Physical Sciences.

Maureen Scherrer, Assistant Director

Maureen joined Northwestern's Office of Foundation Relations in 2017. Most recently, she was a consulting associate with the philanthropic consulting firm Grenzebach Glier and Associates, and previously served as a fundraiser for several national nonprofit organizations. Maureen is a graduate of James Madison University with a double major in political science and public administration.

Thomas Martin, Program Assistant

Thomas joined Northwestern’s Office of Foundation Relations in 2017. He is a 2016 graduate of Northwestern University's Bienen School of Music. Thomas dedicates much of his time outside of work as founder and performer of Benefit Brass.
