Project Description & Statistics

The Northwestern Academy for Chicago Public Schools is a multi-year college preparation and enrichment program for academically talented and motivated students from Chicago public high schools. Northwestern Academy is a program of Northwestern University's School of Education and Social Policy, offered through its Center for Talent Development. The goal of Northwestern Academy is to increase access and successful matriculation of underrepresented and talented Chicago public high school students to top-tier colleges and universities by providing college preparation programming, academic support, enrichment and self-regulatory learning, and by nurturing aspirations.

This project will renovate the entire 16th floor of Abbott Hall on Northwestern’s downtown campus. The design will include state of the art classrooms and study spaces to engage students in rigorous learning opportunities and experiences and nurture passion for academic endeavors, as well as offices and support spaces for the program.
