Parking Places
As we continue to make investments in campus facilities and spaces, there is a resulting impact on other aspects of campus life. With the influx of contractors and construction workers in recent months, parking at the Evanston campus has become more challenging. This has been most evident at the north end of campus, where multiple projects have been underway simultaneously.
To ensure that our own University permit holders maintain full access to designated parking lots across campus, we will be making the following adjustments, beginning January 1, 2017:
- Ongoing efforts are being made to ensure that construction workers and contractors are redirected to park off-site at Ryan Field, as well as other locations as available. We are working with contractors to reinforce off campus parking options for those working on construction sites.
- Lot 122, located on Campus Drive on the east side of the Searle Building will transition to a faculty and staff permit-only lot.
- Campus parking lots with visitor permit kiosks will now be operational between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm, to minimize use by non-permit holders.

The targeted changes above are meant to alleviate existing pressures on parking, and provide ample capacity moving forward. Further, the number of additional construction-related parkers on campus will dissipate as projects come to an end. We appreciate your patience.
