International Activity Resources

As Northwestern University expands its global education and research networks, new challenges can arise for faculty and staff in planning for and managing the complexities of international operations.  Because each international project is subject to the laws and policies of the particular foreign location in addition to U.S. laws and policies, it is important for the project’s planners to access available University and outside resources to get guidance on applicable regulations, risks and costs before proceeding.  And, as always when a project involves commitments or sharing of University resources, review and approval by the school or department is required before any informal or formal agreement is signed.
“Northwestern is committed to the highest standards of integrity and responsibility in all areas of operation and that commitment is reflected in University policies and procedures. Therefore, all such activities undertaken by Northwestern faculty, staff, and students will be conducted in accordance with strict ethical principles and in compliance with federal, state, and University regulations and policies.”
