    The Truman Scholarship provides up to $30,000 in funding towards a graduate degree in public service fields.

  PROCEDURE  
    Northwestern holds internal competition, with interviews, to select nominees. Download "Sample Application Forms" from Truman website, fill out and turn in to Office of Fellowships on internal deadline date. For the Internal Nomination Process, you need to turn in the Sample Application, Resume, Policy Proposal, Three Recommendations, and Transcripts from each college that you have attended, including for Study Abroad .  
       
  DETAILS  
    The Harry S Truman Foundation awards scholarships to juniors who are pursuing a bachelor's degree and plan to attend graduate school in preparation for careers in the public sector. Eligible programs of graduate study include law programs and master's and doctoral programs in public administration, public policy analysis, public health, international relations, government, economics, social services delivery, education and human resource development, and conservation and environmental protection.
