Humanity in Action explores contemporary issues that
minorities face through the lens of the European Jewish experience during World
War II. The program holds three concurrent programs during the summer in Denmark,
Germany, and the Netherlands. 30 American students, 10 to each country, participate
with 10 Danish, 10 German, and 10 Dutch students. HIA fellows go through a rigorous
interdisciplinary program of lectures, discussions, and research projects exploring
moral behavior and the pathology of persecution and repression. The goal of the
program is to cultivate future human and civil rights leaders. |
