The goal of the Freeman-Asia Awards Program is to
increase the number of U.S. undergraduates who study abroad in East and Southeast
Asia. The amount of the award depends on the length of the program, but it may
be used in conjunction with other financial assistance. Applicants must submit
short descriptions of their previous experience in Asia and their plan to complete
the service requirement. Preference is given to those who have no experience in
the country in which they intend to study. A final report detailing experiences
and service requirement is due within six months of returning. |
