  DETAILS
The Soros Fellowship program supports graduate study for New Americans in professional fields (e.g., engineering, medicine, law, social work) and in scholarly disciplines (arts, humanities, social sciences, and sciences), as well as in the fine and performing arts. Although the academic record is important, the Foundation also seeks to identify candidates who have shown "extraordinary creativity, accomplishment, and commitment to the principles of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights." Fellows are required to make progress toward the degree being supported, make a final report to the Program Director, and attend two Fellows Conference Programs in New York City.
