DETAILS |

| |
|
The Gates Cambridge Scholarship has been called the
"Rhodes Scholarship" of Cambridge. In 2001, 160 awards were given, including
80 to U.S. students. The Gates differs from many overseas competitions in that
the student must apply both to the university and to the Gates Foundation. It
is critical that you to locate a department at Cambridge where the programs of
study, ongoing research, laboratories, and other facilities match your background
and serve your academic needs. Only a perfect fit will make you competitive. You
must be accepted by Cambridge before you are allowed to accept a Gates. |
