The George Mitchell Scholarships were established in 1998 to honor the former U.S. senator who served as chair of the peace negotiations in Northern Ireland. The U.S.-Ireland Alliance selects 12 Mitchell Scholars from among more than 250 applicants. Note that you are eligible to apply up to age 30; seniors may wish to explore this as an option several years hence. Identify programs of study at eligible universities in Ireland.
