American-Scandinavian Foundation Grants & Fellowships
ASF promotes international understanding through educational and cultural exchange between the U.S. and Scandinavian countries. You must articulate clearly how this project both impacts your professional development and addresses significant concerns in your field of study.
U.S. citizens or permanent residents with bachelor's degrees and well-defined research interests or study project in a Scandinavian country that makes a stay in Scandinavia essential. The ASF considers it desirable that all candidates have at least some ability in the language of the host country, even if it is not essential for the execution of the research plan.
Up to $5,000 grants and up to $23,000 fellowships for up to one year in one or more Scandinavian countries.
