About the Katz Enrichment Fund

Students can apply to receive funding to support the following opportunities:

1. Faculty Led- Excursions 

2. Graduate School Preparation

Graduate School Application Fees

  • Students may apply for funding to support up graduate or post baccalaureate application fees. Students must show proof of attempts to request fee waivers from universities, as many graduate programs offer fee waivers for low-income students. The Katz Enrichment Fund covers 50% of application fees up to $500 per calendar year. Students cannot apply for the same funding category in an academic year.

Transcript Request Fees and Score Report Fees

  • Students may apply for funding for transcript and score report fees. The Katz Enrichment Fund covers 50% of transcript/score fees up to $500 per academic year. Students cannot apply for the same funding category in an academic year.

Examination Prep (Kaplan, Princeton Review, etc.)

  • Students can be funded for up to 50% (but not exceeding $500) of the examination prep course.
  • Princeton ReviewKaplan, and many other test prep companies offer discounted rates for students with financial need. Students must show proof of attempts toward pursuing discounted rates. The Katz Enrichment Fund covers 50% of test preparation courses up to $500 per academic year. If a student decides to retake a preparation course or take another course with a different company, the Katz Enrichment Fund will 25% of test preparation courses up to $250. The Katz Enrichment Fund will not fund a third attempt at a test preparation course. Students cannot apply for the for the same funding category in an academic year. 

Examination Fees (LSAT, MCAT, GRE, etc.)

  • Students may apply for funding for graduate school examination fees. The Katz Enrichment Fund covers 50% of test examination fees up to $500 per academic year. If a student applies for a different additional examination or to retake a previously funded examination, the Katz Enrichment Fund will cover 25% of test examination fees up to $250. Katz Enrichment Fund will not fund more than two attempts of an examination. Students cannot apply for the same funding category in an academic year.
