Quest Scholars Network

The Northwestern Quest Scholars Network (QSN) is Northwestern University's only low-income and first generation advocacy group. Northwestern QSN has over three hundred members and serves almost 14% of the Northwestern population. Click here for more information on Questbridge, QSN’s parent organization.

Gates Millennium Scholars

The Gates Millennium Scholars (GMS) Program, established in 1999, was initially funded by a $1 billion grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The GMS Scholarship Award provides financial support for both undergraduate and graduate education as well offers a number of leadership development programs.

Ryan Scholars

The Ryan Scholars Program was established by the generous donation of Patrick and Shirley Ryan in 2007 to financially support and attract high-achieving, low-income students with exceptional leadership potential to attend Northwestern without incurring significant loan debt. Ryan Scholars are a group of gifted, motivated students who bring energy, talent, and intellectual curiosity to the Northwestern community. Each year, students who demonstrate commitment to service and leadership, as well as outstanding academic performance, are selected to become Ryan Scholars.
