What You Can Do
- Follow the plan devised for your building, department, and campus. Northwestern University's Emergency Preparedness Plan depends on the cooperation of the entire University community for its effectiveness. Following the plan will save lives and minimize damage.
- Familiarize Yourself with Escape Routes. Your first responsibility is to determine the closest escape route from your location. Escape routes are posted in building hallways.
- Acquire a Personal Disaster Preparedness Kit. You way want to purchase or assemble a personal disaster preparedness kit.
