Baccalaureate Seating
Alice Millar Chapel
Tickets are not required. Candidates and their guests will
be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis to either
of the Baccalaureate Services. Candidates do not wear caps
and gowns at these services. The Millar Chapel is fully accessible.
Commencement Tickets and Seating
Fair Weather Plan - Ryan Field
Tickets are required for all seating at the outdoor ceremony
at Ryan Field and will be available at the time of cap
and gown distribution at Norris Center. General seating may be accessed only at ground level
through west side gates as indicated below. Upper deck seating
and elevator service to general seating on the mezzanine
level are not available.

PLEASE NOTE: Lower-level seating for guests with ambulatory
limitations, which is monitored by University staff and requires
no advance reservation, is available at both Ryan Field and
Welsh-Ryan Arena.
Severe Weather Plan Tickets and Seating
Welsh-Ryan Arena
In the event of severe weather such as lightning or torrential
rain, the ceremony may be moved indoors to Welsh-Ryan Arena
in McGaw Memorial Hall, and tickets will be required for
all seating. Remote viewing of the ceremony will be available
at several indoor Evanston campus locations. Participating
candidates are allotted 2 tickets for the indoor ceremony
and 2 tickets for one of the remote television viewing locations.
Tickets will be available for pick-up by the participating
candidate at the time of cap
and gown distribution at Norris University Center. Severe
Weather Plan tickets for guests who are hearing impaired
or who arrive in their own wheelchairs and one companion
will come from this ticket allotment.

Individual school convocation ticket information is sent
to candidates by the appropriate school offices. Questions
concerning convocations should be directed to the individual
school offices (see the list of school
phone numbers).
How and Where to Obtain Tickets
Tickets are available to candidates at the time of cap and
gown distribution in the Louis Room at Norris University
Center according to the distribution
schedule.
To obtain tickets, candidates must personally:
- Pick up cap and gown
- Present WildCARD or other photo ID
- Sign for receipt of tickets
