Guests with Accessibility Needs

Accessible Parking & Transportation

Accessible parking is available in all campus parking lots and parking garages. Parking for vehicles displaying a valid handicapped tag as well as a drop-off site for guests with disabilities are also available at the south side of the stadium on Central Street.

A fully accessible bus is available at all shuttle stops.

Accessible Seating

Mobility Access

Each graduate can request Accessible Seating Tickets through the Commencement Tickets request site. Please note that these tickets will count as part of your allotment of ten.

Guests who arrive using their own wheelchairs, canes, or walkers may be accompanied by one companion in specially designated seating sections. Rentals for wheelchairs can be made through Koebers Medical Supplies.

Your entry gate will be printed on your ticket.

Sight & Hearing Accommodations

We have updated our accommodations for guests with hearing needs to meet best-practice standards. In addition to enhanced amplified sound in the stadium, this year we have two options for your guests.

  • For guests who need hearing assistance, real-time captions-only (without video or audio) of the ceremony will be available on any mobile device.
  • For guests who need additional sound enhancement, the ceremony will be live streamed with audio, video, and captions. Headphones can be plugged into a mobile device so that guests needing this accommodation can amplify the sound to their desired level. Please note that the Iive stream will be delayed by approximately one minute.
