The UCS Career Guide is created by UCS staff every two years and updated annually to provide Northwestern Students and Alumni with comprehensive advice and guidance for your career development. Inside you will find information on networking, exploring careers, the job/internship search, resume samples and more.

CareerCat is University Career Services’ chief online internship and job database for both On-Campus Recruiting and direct application opportunities. INet is an internship-only database that lists a wide array of opportunities across the country.

Access: Log into CareerCat. On the CareerCat homepage, click on “INET” under “jump to” option. Register for a new account using your NU email account. You will be approved to use iNET within 2 business days. An email will be sent to you, with your username and password.

Internships.com is an online resource which contains both national and international internship listings.

Global Focus "U" can be used by Northwestern Students to find job and internship postings by top employers.

Going Global is an online resource that provides expert advice and insider tips for finding employment opportunities within the United States and abroad. Gain access to more than 35,000 country specific career and employment resources, corporate profiles for key employers in 31 countries, and worldwide internship and job listings. International students can search for H1B employer petition listings by state, industry, or metro area in a database that contains more than 500,000 records!

Uniworld is a directory of American firms operating in foreign countries and foreign firms operating in the U.S.

Students in The Graduate School can now access The Versatile PhD, a web-based resource geared toward students and PhDs in humanities and social science (and soon expanding to the sciences). Through the website, students can participate in discussions and network with other PhDs and ABDs, review examples of successful resumes and covers letters, read narratives from humanities and social science PhDs and ABDs who have gone on to non-academic careers, and more.
