Testing During the Interview

Completing one or more tests that are used to assess particular skills, knowledge, or qualities is common for certain industries. The rationale behind testing is that the employer has identified core competencies that it takes to do their job and wants to see to what extent you possess those skills. Tests may include case studies, math, psychological, and occasionally foreign language examinations. Testing is commonly used after a resume screening or a telephone screening.  Although you may not like the idea of being tested, approach the situation with a positive attitude and intentions of success.
