- Community Career Center – Dedicated to those who serve others, this site provides resources and links to other social service and nonprofit organizations. Job postings available.
- Idealist – This site provides information on over 51,000 nonprofit and community organizations in 165 countries, which you can search or browse by name and/or location. It provides thousands of volunteer opportunities in your community and around the world, as well as extensive paid opportunities. They provide information on current topics and issues plus it provides information on current non-profit career fairs and graduate school fairs located throughout the country and conferences. First called the Contact Center Network, Action Without Borders was founded in 1995 to build a network of neighborhood Contact Centers that would provide a one-stop shop for volunteer opportunities and nonprofit services in communities around the world. Idealist, was launched in the summer of 1996 allowing any nonprofit or community organization - whether it has a website or not - to have a presence on the Web through which to promote its mission and activities.

- The Drug Abuse Treatment Outcome Studies - Initiated in 1990 by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) to evaluate drug abuse treatment outcomes and emerging treatment issues in the United States. This is NIDA's third national outcome evaluation study of publicly-funded treatment.

- American Counseling Association (ACA)- The American Counseling Association is a not-for-profit, professional and educational organization that is dedicated to the growth and enhancement of the counseling profession. Founded in 1952, ACA is the world's largest association exclusively representing professional counselors in various practice settings
- American Psychological Association (APA)- Based in Washington, DC, the American Psychological Association (APA) is a scientific and professional organization that represents psychology in the United States. With 150,000 members, APA is the largest association of psychologists worldwide.
- American Association of Pastoral Counselors (AAPC) - The association represents and sets professional standards for over 3,000 Pastoral Counselors and 100 pastoral counseling centers in North America and around the world. AAPC was founded in 1963 as an organization which certifies Pastoral Counselors, accredits pastoral counseling centers, and approves training programs. It is non-sectarian and respects the spiritual commitments and religious traditions of those who seek assistance without imposing counselor beliefs onto the client.

- Human Care Services Directory of Metropolitan Chicago - This directory is published on behalf of the United Way/Crusade of Mercy. It provides an alphabetical and subject breakdown of human service agencies throughout the Chicagoland area. Extensive information is provided including name, address and specific agency information. - The New Social Worker - This is a Magazine for Social Work Students and Recent Graduates. The print magazine began in 1994 and is published 4 times a year (January, April, July, & October). The magazine's primary focus is on career development for social workers and social work students at all levels. Each issue includes: student role model profiles, book reviews, news of the profession, resources for social workers, features on practice specialties, articles on ethics, and features on field placement issues.
