Northwestern encourages employers to meet our students at job fairs. Here are the opportunities that exist during the academic year:

      New York Recruiting Day

      This program is for graduating Seniors only. The purpose of the program is to expand interview opportunities for graduating Seniors who are interested in the Communication fields of advertising, marketing, publishing, public relations, legal assistant or media. There is an application process and if accepted, interviews for those invited are conducted in New York, Participating universities are Northwestern, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill (UNC), Smith College, and University of Virginia.

    • What is the Indianapolis Career Expo?
      The fair is held in conjunction with the 2010 Big Ten Basketball Tournaments. Current students and alumni of the Big Ten Universities are invited.  Northwestern University students must bring their wildcards. Business casual attire recommended.
      Alumni, if you did not register in advance bring a copy of your resume to show at the door indicating you are an NU alum.

      Science Career Forum

      Location: University of Chicago-Gordon Center for Integrative Science, 927 E 57th Street

      This event is for graduate students, post docs and advanced undergraduates in the life sciences, physical sciences and computer science.  The event includes a panel discussion on career paths outside of academia and a science career fair.  Transportation will be provided for from the Northwestern University Evanston and Chicago campuses to the University of Chicago for this event.

      Registration: Students and alumni, there is no pre-registration for the fair. When you attend the fair you will be asked your name, school and current status/year.
      The Hire Big Ten Plus Spring 2010 Career Fair is a "just in time" hire career fair for undergraduate,  graduate students and Alumni looking for full time job and internship opportunities. The Big Ten universities participate in this fair, together with selected area universities.

      This annual Career Fair is for students and alumni seeking internships, freelance and full time jobs in the fields of journalism and communication. All Northwestern University students and alums are invited to attend the Medill/SoC Career Fair. Northwestern Students and Alumni must present their current resume for admission to the career fair. The April 2009 Medill/SoC Career Fair had 40 employers and over 300 students and alums participate.
