Internship/Job Fairs for Northwestern Students and Alumni

Northwestern encourages employers to meet our students at job fairs. Here are the opportunities that exist during the academic year:

Winter 2009 Internship/Job Fairs

      MLK Public Interest Fair

      This fair is for internships and full time jobs in the fields of non-profit, government, and education.
    • February 2009
      New York Recruiting Day

      Location: New York City

      The purpose of the program is to expand interview opportunities for graduating Seniors who are interested in the Communication fields of advertising, marketing, publishing, public relations, legal assistant or media. There is an application process and if accepted, interviews for those invited are conducted in New York, Participating universities are Northwestern, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill (UNC), Smith College, and University of Virginia.

      Location: DePaul University

      The nonprofit career fair will consist of:
      An informal networking period for nonprofit recruiters and representatives from local colleges and university Offices of Career Services. The fair itself, where job seekers can distribute resumes and speak with nonprofit recruiters about current and future employment, internship, and volunteer opportunities. Free information sessions offering nonprofit career advice to all job seekers.

    • Indianapolis Career Expo

    • What is the Indianapolis Career Expo?
      The fair is held in conjunction with the 2008 Big Ten Basketball Tournaments. Current students and alumni of the Big Ten Universities are invited.  Northwestern University students must bring their wildcards. Business casual attire recommended.

    • Science Career Forum
      Participating Employers
      Location: Gordon Center for Integrative Science, The University of Chicago, Chicago, IL
      Transportation: Free shuttle to and from The University of Chicago.

      This unique event brings employers in a broad range of fields together with University of Chicago, Northwestern University, and other Chicago area graduate students and post-doctoral researchers in the biological and physical sciences.
    • Hire Big Ten Plus Career Fair
      Participating Employers
      Location: University of Chicago, Hyde Park campus
      Transportation:
      Vans will be available to transport students and alumni. RSVP in CareerCat. Deadline: 4:00pm, Wednesday, 4/9/08

    • The Hire Big Ten Plus Spring 2008 Career Fair is a "just in time" hire career fair for undergraduate,  graduate students and Alumni looking for full time job and internship opportunities. The Big Ten universities participate in this fair, together with selected area universities.

    • Medill Spring Career Fair
      Location: Norris University Center
