InternQuest 101
InternQuest 101 offers you the opportunity to learn the internship basics from an expert advisor. By attending InternQuest 101, you will develop an understanding of the internship search process, including: identifying your own motivations and goals, researching, understanding required job search skills, devising a strategy, and effectively engaging in your search. InternQuest 101 is offered year-round. Be sure to check out our upcoming programs.

InternQuest Industry Specific
InternQuest 101 has been adapted to address your specific industry interests. Industry specific InternQuest sessions are held for the following industries: Consulting, Finance, Advertising/Marketing/PR, Law, Medical, and Non-Profit. The sessions feature information on the recruitment cycle, provide a general overview of the industry, and identify specific resources. Industry specific InternQuest sessions are offered year-round on a rotating basis. Be sure to check out our upcoming programs.

Career Fairs
Throughout the academic year, there are a variety of career fairs held both on and off-campus. During the winter quarter, UCS sponsors two career fairs: the Martin Luther King Jr. Public Interest Job and Internship Fair and the Career Expo. In addition, there are career fairs held on campus and throughout the city. Some of them include the Big 10+ Hire Fair (Chicago), the Idealist Fair (Chicago), the SWE Fair (Downtown Evanston), and more. Career fairs are and effective place for connecting with employers. Internship Initiative
Internship Initiative provides students with an opportunity to explore many industries in one event through an employer panel discussion and informal round table Q & A's. This event will allow you to get basic questions answered and help get prepared to be recruited. Intern Initiative is typically help during the month of November.

Summer Internship Grant Program
The Summer Internship Grant Program (SIGP) is a campus-wide initiative spearheaded by student leaders, University Career Services, and the Northwestern Alumni Association. The program supports students who intern during the summer at typically non-paid internships. In 2007, ten students each received $2,000 stipends to complete their internship experience. Application deadlines and materials are not yet available for Summer 2008.

Diversity Series
All sophomores and juniors from Big 10+ universities have an exciting opportunity to learn more about business related opportunities in the downtown Chicago area. Fifteen students from each university come together for this one day experience, which includes a variety of programming, including two company site visits. The Diversity Series is consists of three distinct events: LaSalle Street (Finance/Investment/Consulting), Communications, and Law. Application for participation is required. These events are typically held in the month of February.

NEXT Externship Program
NEXT is a one-day job shadowing program that connects students with Northwestern alumni for an inside look at today's careers. Alumni volunteers host current students at their respective sites of employment. Opportunities are available in a variety of fields, industries, and job roles. Students are required to register for this program and attend a training session. Applications are typically available in late January and the actual event occurs during the month of March.

InternAdvantage
You have the internship, but now you need to make the most of your experience. InternAdvantage was developed just for that purpose. In addition to gaining advice, support, and resources from experienced Internship Specialists, you will also have the opportunity to connect with your NU peers around the country and learn about their internship experiences. Our employer partners also make guest appearances from time to time to offer you tips on being successful in your internship. This program is offered during the summer and requires registration.
