Managing Your Career Workshop Series through the Office of Learning and Organizational Development
Open exclusively to Northwestern employees, Managing Your Career is a free series of six monthly workshops for those looking to take control of their careers and find greater satisfaction at work. Local Community Resources
Illinois WorkNet (Illinois Department of Employment Security)
Located in the Evanston Public Library, WorkNet offers job opportunities as well as a wide range of employment services. These include career guidance, job search assistance, and community resource information. Workshops are offered on resume preparation, Internet job search, and how to research jobs and companies.

Jewish Vocational Services (JVS)
Located in Skokie, JVS offers individual counseling and coaching including testing and assessment, identifying mentors and evaluating educational options as well as transferable skills. They also offer career counseling, job placement, refugee services and college counseling. Fees may apply. Scholarships are available.

Oakton Community College
Career counselors at OCC work with individuals to facilitate career decision making. Through an assortment of activities including resume review and career assessments. Students, alumni and community members are welcome to take advantage of the job opportunities posted on CCJobNet.com. Non-students/alumni living outside District 535 will be charged $35 per session.
