Freshmen Career Groups
These 3-session interactive career groups for freshmen
will help you know what you have to do NOW to achieve career
success. Each session is dedicated to helping you understand
the Career Development Process: Career Development, Internships,
and Job Search Preparation.
Group 1: April 14, April 21, & April 28 (Mondays)
Group 2: April 16, April 23, & April 30 (Wednesdays)
Group 3: April 17, April 24, & May 1 (Thursdays)
All sessions will be held from 3:30-5:00. Registration
REQUIRED. To register, Go to CareerCat under “Events and
Workshops” and RSVP for Group 1, 2, or 3.
Working 9-5: 12 Steps to First Year Job Success

Choosing a Major

A workshop, in partnership with the Academic Advising
Center, to help you navigate NU majors and facilitate the major
decision making process.
So You Have No Idea What You Want to Do After You Graduate

This workshop will provide you with the knowledge and
skill to relax and enjoy your post-graduation experience.
FIND AN INTERNSHIP
Summer Internship Grant Program Information Session
The Summer Internship Grant Program, an initiative
spearheaded by student leaders, University Career Services
and Northwestern Alumni Association, provides a $2,000 stipend
to intern during the summer at typically non-paid internships
organizations. Information sessions will be conducted
to provide you with information regarding eligibility criteria,
application process, and program expectations. RSVP in CareerCat.

InternQuests
InternQuest session offer students the opportunity
to learn about the internship search with an Internship Advisor
and other peers. Most InternQuest sessions are specific
to industries that are popular with NU students with the exception
of InternQuest 101 which goes into depth about the internship
search process itself. Industry-specific IQ's provide
a brief overview of the industry and strategies on conducting
an efficient and effective search in that industry.

Alumni will discuss key interviewing strategies for
employers who hire during this time of year. Meet alumni panelists
who are eager to share their knowledge and experiences with
you. This is a workshop for Juniors and Seniors who are interested

Hire Big 10+ Spring 2008 Career Fair

of Chicago Hyde Park Campus
This event is a "just in time" hire career fair for
undergraduate, graduate students and Alumni looking for
full time job and internship opportunities. The Big Ten universities
participate in this fair, together with selected area universities.
