Become a Career Peer!
What is a Career Peer?
Being a Career Peer is first and foremost a learning experience. You'll gain
skills and knowledge regarding career development and career planning that
will benefit you and the students you help. As a Career Peer, you will have
many different roles: educator, advisor, consultant, presenter, liaison, and
ambassador.
In addition to receiving a stipend each quarter, you will learn skills to use
throughout life, including self-assessment, resume writing, job searching, and
career professionalism. You will have the opportunity to interact with employers
and other career professionals at events. You will be adding a great experience
to your resume, and most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to help yourself,
your friends and your peers with their career development and advancement. In
addition, you will be a part of a select, close-knit group of Career Peers whose
primary goal is to provide first-rate services to the NU community.
