Career Counseling and Advising for alumni/Career Assessments available to alumni
- NU Alumni Career Services offers the opportunity to take career assessments by registering for the The Career Consulting Package. ($125 service fee). (Four Step Process) This is designed for alumni who would like to clarify, re-define, or explore career options through career assessments.
- If you are unclear about your direction and career options this may be the right option for you. We offer the Professional version of the Strong Interest Inventory plus the Myers Briggs Personality Profile (MBTI). Results are discussed in-person.

- There is a simple 4-step process:
- Step One: An initial meeting/consultation is scheduled to discuss your particular situation, determining the appropriateness of this package for you and your needs.
- Step Two: Career Assessments are taken.
- Step Three: (Please allow 2 - 3 weeks after inventories are taken) A scheduled appointment is made to explain and discuss your results integrating the results with your particular education and experience. You receive a 20 page professional report from the Strong Interest Inventory plus a 32 page booklet explaining the results of the Myers Briggs Personality Profile.
- Step Four: A follow-up appointment is strongly encouraged for further discussion/next steps.

Networking with other NU alumni
- If you would like to network with other alumni, the Northwestern University Alumni Association manages the network tool: CareerNet, providing access to NU alumni who have volunteered to speak with students and other alumni about what they do.
- Additional resources from University Career Services/Alumni Career Services may also be available depending on your interests. There may be employers who have listed positions with us who may be willing to discuss your career interests. The Job Search Assistance Package or The Career Consulting Package may offer the opportunity to discuss this option with you.
