Welcome Message from the Executive Director

Welcome to University Career Services (UCS)!  We encourage you to use our website to become familiar with our extensive range of career services, programming, and resources.  We remind you that as a centralized office on campus we serve undergraduate and graduate students from across academic areas as well as alumni both in the area and at a distance.  Our goals are to help you connect your outstanding educational preparation with career success and develop crucial life-long career management skills in the process. No need to say the current economy is complex and volatile; preparation makes a difference.

In supporting the career needs of students and alumni we foster collaboration with academic departments, Northwestern Alumni Association, other campus colleagues as well as professional associations.  Our valued employer partners represent excellent career opportunities from a broad spectrum of industries of interest to our students.

But most importantly we encourage you to call us, visit us, come to our programs, and meet with our experienced staff- career counselors, internship and job search specialists, and for employers, our dedicated recruiting team.  First year student? The mission of University Career Services is to foster excellence in career development, preparation, and professional opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students and alumni by providing comprehensive services and programming and by promoting strong partnerships with employers, academic departments, and the university community.
