Who can apply?

Currently enrolled Northwestern University undergraduate students are eligible to apply to the Career Development Fund.

To be eligible for funding, students must be in the pursuit of a professional opportunity; students are no longer able to apply once a job, internship, or graduate/professional school acceptance has been secured.

Student Group Funding Requests

Student groups seeking funding for travel to a conference or career-related event for their membership must provide the following information within the online application:

  • Evidence of other funding sources beyond the Career Development Fund that have been secured to support travel for their membership
  • The name of one officer within the organization to serve as a contact for the request
  • The name of the faculty adviser for the organization to serve as a secondary contact for the request
  • Student groups are required to provide financial records in order to evaluate the student group’s ability to assist its members financially

In addition, each individual member must submit an application that will be reviewed in accordance with the application review criteria.  Students are able to apply for travel to the same conference only twice in their undergraduate career at Northwestern.
