Meet the Career Ambassadors

Chirag Gupta

Chirag Gupta, Career AmbassadorMy name is Chirag and I'm a senior pursuing an Industrial Engineering Major, Economics minor, and IMC Certificate.  I'm a 3rd year Career Ambassador at UCS and I absolutely love the position. It gives me a chance to meet with a wide variety of talented students from all over Northwestern. In addition, I help out at career events and educate my peers about career resources such as the alumni network and online career databases like Career Cat. Twenty years from now, I hope to have a career involving music, engineering, and advertising. Aside from the UCS office, you may find me drumming with my Afro-Cuban ensemble Fire Pit, playing Frisbee, or biking down Lake Shore Drive.

Lauren Ressel

Lauren Ressel, Career AmbassadorMy name is Lauren and I'm a senior in the School of Communication.  I am majoring in Communication Studies, and I'm also in the Business Institutions Program and the Integrated Marketing Communication certificate program.  When I graduate, I hope to pursue a career in marketing.  When I'm not working at UCS, I act as the Director of Communication for Lambda Pi Eta and enjoy kickboxing and exploring Chicago in my free time.  I became a Career Ambassador to help Northwestern students with the daunting task of finding a job, so reach out to me if you have any questions!

Holly Bleck

Holly Bleck, Career AmbassadorMy name is Holly and I'm a senior from the town of Charlottesville, Virginia.  I'm majoring in Human Development and Psychological Services with a minor in Art History and the certificate in Integrated Marketing Communications.  I decided to become a Career Ambassador after taking a Career Development class, HDPS 222, during my freshman year. I love playing around on the websites Vaulta nd O*Net to look at different industries. As far as personal career goals, I'm hoping to go into event planning. I grew up riding and competing horses and still train five days a week.  Other than that, I'm a member of Delta Gamma with serious loves for baking and visiting the Art Institute. Feel free to stop by and ask questions; I'm always looking to meet new people and helpout in any way possible.

Cristina Lamas

Christina Lamas, Career AmbassadorMy name is Cristina and I'm a junior in McCormick School of Engineering majoring in Industrial Engineering with a Legal Studies theme. I am Pre-Law, and hope to become a patent lawyer doing pro bono work. My favorite career resources that UCS offers are Career Cat, the job and internship fairs, and, most importantly, the Action Verb handout (it saves my life every time). Though I was able to get involved and utilize UCS sooner rather than later, I have noticed that many students don't take advantage of all of the help UCS offers until they are pulling their own hair out. This is why I wanted to be a Career Ambassador. Not only do I think it's a wonderful growing experience and offers extensive knowledge related to career development, but I believe it is important to get the word out to the rest of the NU community. My favorite part of the job is definitely seeing students' reactions when they see all the beneficial resources at UCS. Some of my hobbies are reading, watching movies, and spending time with my family.  I am also a member of the Latino Fellowship (La Fe), a College Marketing Associate for Manhattan LSAT, and the treasurer of Minorities in Pursuit of Law.

Craig Kopulsky

Craig Kopulsky, Career AmbassadorI'm Craig and I'm from Los Angeles.  I'm a senior studying Economics and Psychology.  I first decided to become a Career Ambassador when I was a work study at University Career Services, and decided I was interested in learning more about the entire process of career building.  I really enjoy being on the team.  I like helping other students with issues regarding building their resume, internship options, and job search strategies and hearing about other people's interests and goals.

Maggie Lamas

Maggie Lamas, Career AmbassadorMy name is Maggie and I'm a junior in the Integrated Marketing Certificate program.  My favorite career resources at UCS include InPursuit and Internship Initiative, CareerCat, and Wetfeet.  Learning in an ambitious environment like Northwestern University, I found the need to get more involved with career focused extracurriculars. I wanted to be an asset to my peers when it came to making critical career choices. My favorite part about being a Career Ambassador is working with such a friendly staff for not only training, but also for assistance with my own career dilemmas. The most fulfilling aspect of the job is being able to help my peers in multiple ways.  Outside of my work at UCS, I love to run, have a twin brother, am a College Marketing Associate for Manhattan LSAT, serve as a Marketing intern for the Xerox Corporation, and also am a Campus Brand Manager for McGraw-Hill.

Sue Kim

Sue Kim, Career AmbassadorMy name is Sue and I'm a sophomore majoring in Economics and Psychology. Along with being a Career Ambassador, I work as the Academic Affairs Chair for my business-themed residential college and participate in the campusCATALYST program as a Community Analyst. In my spare time, I enjoy volunteering, watching Friends, and going to the beach. As a Career Ambassador, I look forward to assisting students with everything from revising resumes to seeking internships and career planning. I hope to help other students become aware and take advantage of all the wonderful resources available through UCS.

Danny Kim

Danny Kim, Career AmbassadorMy name is Danny and I'm a sophomore majoring in Economics and International Studies from Indianapolis, Indiana. Some of the best things I've found offered by UCS for students are CareerCat and the many different fairs throughout the year. I joined the Career Ambassador team to better learn how to build resumes and apply for internships in order to helpout my peers and act as a resource. I enjoy eating all sorts of foods at all kinds of places and playing/watching most sports especially football with the Colts.

Allison Hung

Allison Hung, Career AmbassadorMy name is Allison and I am a sophomore from Toronto, Canada. I am majoring in Economics and planning to minor in Japanese. I hope to pursue a career in finance but am still open to different options. I decided to become a Career Ambassador after attending quite a few resume workshops and internship search presentations last year. I realized that UCS has amazing resources and advice to offer to students (even international students like me!) and I wanted to get the word out to more of my peers. On campus, I serve as a representative on the Multicultural Greek Council for Sigma Psi Zeta and I am also the secretary of Japan Club. I love gummy bears and traveling, and my biggest dream is to live in Japan for a year after I graduate!

Jamese Dunlap

Jamese Dunlap, Career AmbassadorMy name is Jamese and I'm a sophomore in Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences. My intended major is either Economics or Sociology with a Spanish and Business Institution Program (BIP) Minor. This will be my first year as a Career Ambassador. I decided I wanted to become a Career Ambassador after reading the description listed for the position. The description highlighted the impact that Ambassadors are capable of having on the lives and future career paths of their peers, and I am truly interested in being a part of that. I haven't exactly decided what career path I would like to pursue and I know that making that decision can be daunting for any college student on any college campus. I think having a position as Career Ambassador will be a great experience for me because I'm passionate about helping others and I'm extremely fascinated by the concept of career planning and the various resources that University Career Services and its Ambassadors have to offer.  Outside of UCS, I'll be Programming Chair of Minority Business Association (MBA) and training for a 3 mile race.
