Campus Coalition on Sexual Violence

The Campus Coalition on Sexual Violence (CCSV), formed in May 2010, is charged by the Vice President of Student Affairs with assessing and improving campus policies, prevention programs and response services dealing with sexual assault, intimate partner violence and stalking. Read the full charge, including the group's statement of purpose, here.

The CCSV has more than 60 members from diverse student groups, campus departments and community agencies. The Coalition steering committee is comprised of staff from CARE, the Women's Center, the Office of Student Conduct & Conflict Resolution, University Police, the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, and the University Sexual Harassment Prevention Office.

The CCSV meets once a month during the fall, winter and spring quarters and presents a report with recommendations for change on a yearly basis. During Spring Quarter 2013, meetings will be held on the following Tuesdays from 4:00 - 5:00 pm in room 3-220 of the NU Health Service/Searle Hall, 633 Emerson Street: April 9, May 7 and June 4. Read the 2010-11 report to the VPSA here and the 2011-12 report here.

We are proud to announce that in 2011, the CCSV received a federal grant from the US Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women to improve sexual violence prevention and response services on campus.
