Brand Lockups

Schools and units can choose from lockups that retain the University wordmark and communicate individual identity.

All schools can choose their ideal lockup configuration, which ensures that they keep exsisting brand equity and are represented in the way they best see fit.

While we continue to finalize the brand architecture system, please use the lockups shown in this section.  Formal school names as well as more detailed information about creating these lockups will be forthcoming.

Whenever possible, use the supplied lockups. Never build a brand lockup from scratch.

Additional usage guidelines

  • Clear space and minimum size guidelines apply to all brand lockups. 
  • Akkurat is the approved brand font for brand lockups.  
  • Lockups can be in white, black, or Northwestern Purple (Northwestern in purple) and Cool Grey 10 (CMYK 40, 30, 20, 66) (vertical/horizontal rule and unit name).
