Ultramicrotomes

Before most biological specimens can be studied with a TEM, they must be made thin enough (roughly ≤ 200 nm) to allow an electron beam to pass through them.

Here at BIF, we have the capabilities for room temperature and cryo/low-temperature sectioning.

    Ultramicrotomes:
  • Leica Ultracut S
  • RMC PowerTome
  • RMC MT-6000 XL
