Leica Fluorescence Microscope

BIF has a Leica Fluorescence Microscope (inverted configuration) with a Sutter Lambda DG-4 and Lambda 10-2 high-speed filter changers, 20X and 40X extended working distance dry objectives, and 40X, 63X, and 100X oil immersion objectives. This microscope is capable of imaging FITC, Texas Red, DAPI, CFP-YFP FRET, Fura-2, and Indo. Openlab Software on a networked Macintosh Quad 2.5GHz G5 workstation allows acquisition of images over a z-series with a QImaging Retiga EXi CCD camera and an integrated color filter system used for RGB capture, multi-channel fluorescence capture, deconvolution, calcium indicator imaging, and FRET.
