BE Magazine: A Medium for Asian American Women

BE Magazine is an upstart magazine focusing on Asian American women, especially college students and young professionals. This is a student-run publication made up of student contributions.
What we're about: to empower Asian American women through an educated and sophisticated medium from which cultural identity, pride, and diversity can be voiced and to serve as an outlet for cultural, literary, and artistic expression.
What we're looking for:
- Quality writings, including personal narratives, essays, articles, or poetry that relate to some aspect in Asian American culture or cultural identity.
- Submissions are inclusive of everyone, regardless of race and gender.
- 1,000 words maximum.
- Photography, drawings, etc. can also be submitted for publication consideration.
- You will be notified if your piece will be used.

As a certified voter registrar, you can immediately register eligible voters throughout Illinois for the General Election. Voters who register in person with a voter registrar can avoid the time-consuming process of registering by mail, losing forms in the mail, and getting confused by identification requirements.
You must be registered before you attend the training. If you are unable to register before the meeting, please bring your ID and a valid piece of mail that has your name and address (i.e. utility bill, housing contract, apartment lease, etc).
