We Will. The Campaign for Northwestern is a University-wide fundraising effort to realize the bold ambitions set forth in Northwestern’s strategic plan. Guest speakers from the Office of Alumni Relations and Development explained how the 2011 Strategic Plan influenced the Campaign, what has happened so far, what to expect in the future and most importantly, how NU staff outside of Development can be a part of We Will. The Campaign for Northwestern.

NU alumnus and longtime NU staff member, Scott Meyer, led walking tours through Northwestern’s south campus (with a peek at the north, as well). Light was shed on some of the philanthropy directed to NU during past and most recent capital campaigns and introduction provided to some of the buildings and the people who helped build them, as well as to the good work that has taken place within those walls. Participants also became acquainted with some of the facilities that are under construction for the current campaign.
Scott Meyer, an NU alumnus, has worked at NU since 1978, including time spent in NU Archives and, more recently, in Alumni Relations and Development, where he is a prospect information analyst. He has presented talks throughout North America on prospect research as well as on genealogical subjects.
Thank you, Scott for this unique and informative event!
