Why are some people more successful than others? Most people point to intelligence, training, and hard work as the key drivers of success, but in this talk Professor Lamberson explained how a person's social connections can lead them to achieve at levels above and beyond peers with similar levels of education, experience, and ability. People whose social networks span multiple communities receive higher salaries, larger bonuses, faster promotions, and better evaluations. Professor Lamberson also described how diverse social connections create these advantages and ways in which you can build a successful social network.
