AHEAD Launches LinkedIn Group!
January 30, 2013
Information concerning AHEAD@NU has traditionally been (and will continue to be) transmitted via the AHEAD Listserv and website. The LinkedIn page will be an additional method of communication and more importantly, provide a forum for members to share ideas and network with one another and the steering committee. We want to know your thoughts on the topics, speakers, and social events so we can continually work to improve AHEAD@NU!
Using LinkedIn will not only connect you with other Northwestern employees, but a worldwide consortium of corporate and higher education individuals sharing information to increase your potential in your current, or future, work environment. To join the AHEAD@NU group, you must sign-up for a LinkedIn account: http://www.linkedin.com/. If you already have a LinkedIn account, please join our group here.
Thank you for sharing your opinions!
September 20, 2011
In spring of this year we asked you to tell us how we're doing by completing an online survey regarding AHEAD@NU. We got over 100 responses, and all who responded were entered in a raffle for a $20 gift card to Starbucks. Congratulations to our winner, Megan Krueger from Kellogg!
The results of that survey came back loud and clear: our members want more chances to socialize with each other and get to know their colleagues better. That's why we're adding new positions to the steering committees in Evanston and Chicago. The Social Chairs will focus on developing programming aimed at helping our members come together to learn about each other as professionals and friends.
You also helped us choose our fall quarter theme. An overwhelming majority of you voted on the topic of University-Wide Change. We hope you'll join us for the kick-off to this series, Effectively Managing Change at Northwestern featuring Jake Julia, on September 28 in Evanston, and October 3 in Chicago.
