Ahead@NU : Diversity and Inclusion at Northwestern
November 11, 2014
Norris Center, Northwestern Room (202), Evanston
Refreshments will be served. No RSVP necessary.
Ahead@NU invites members and staff to join our discussion on the topic of diversity and inclusion at Northwestern, with Alecia Wartowski, Director of Programs at the Women's Center and catalyst for Change Makers, and Roberto Sanabria, Director of Equal Opportunity and Access. During this 12:00pm to 1:00pm event Ahead@NU members will find who are the Change Makers? What are HR and EEOC strategies? What resources are available to hiring committees and decision makers to establish best practices within their units? And how can we move past the "us versus them" to engage in impactful dialogue?
Alecia R. Wartowski, Director of Programs at Northwestern University's Women's Center
Ms. Wartowski focuses her work on gender equity and racial justice. Before coming to Northwestern, she served as a legal aid attorney in Chicago and focused on family law and guardian ad litem of minors work. Alecia received her law degree from the University of Wisconsin, her masters degree from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education and her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan.
Roberto Sanabria, Director of Equal Opportunity & Access
Sanabria and his staff work with leaders and individual contributors throughout Northwestern to establish policies and practices for equal opportunity, improve diversity and access and build a community free of discrimination and harassment.
