Smart Aging Matters Spring Conference


The Buehler Center, with the generous support of the Smart Family Foundation, will hold aging Conference on "The Best and Worst of Long Term Care" from 1:00-4:30pm in the 3rd Floor Conference Room A of Northwestern Memorial Hospital’s Feinberg Pavilion at 251 E. Huron, Chicago IL, 60611.

Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan will give the key note address, to be followed by a question and answer session led by Arnold L. Widen, MD, FACP, Medical Director of the Office of the Illinois Attorney General. Other speakers will include Rose Marie Fagan, Executive Director of the Pioneer Network; Michael Preodor, MD, FACP, Instructor at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine and Palliative Care Physician at Northwestern Memorial Hospital; and Myles Sheehan, SJ, MD, Senior Associate Dean of Education Program and Associate Professor of Medicine at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine.

Smart Aging Matters Spring Fair


The Buehler Center, with the generous support of the Smart Family Foundation, will be hosting an active aging fair themed "Smart Aging Matters" from 10-2pm in the 3rd floor atrium of Northwestern Memorial Hospital's Feinberg Pavilion at 251 E. Huron, Chicago IL 60611.

Visitors will enjoy refreshments, free health screenings for blood pressure and bone density, raffle prizes, and other giveaways. The fair will feature informative and interactive displays from medical services, non-profit organizations and local businesses, offering resources and information on living active older lives. Short films on the aging body and soul will be shown all day in the Pritzker Auditorium. Admission is free.
